The People’s Government of Guilin with the support of the China National Tourism Administration, the World Tourism Organization and the Pacific Asia Travel Association in collaboration with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University hold the UNWTO/PATA Forum on Tourism Trends and Outlook in Guilin, China on an annual basis. The philosophy of staging such an event is to provide an opportunity for policy makers, senior officials, researchers and industry representatives to take stock of the global and regional trends in tourism and the broader environment impacting on tourism. Past forums have attracted university professors, industry representatives and tourism experts from countries and regions all over the world including Australia, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Samoa, Thailand, United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Macao.
